Upcoming Cars In India March 2024: India’s automotive industry has been expanding rapidly and we are now the world’s third largest automobile market in the world. 2023 has been an eventful year for the Indian automotive sector and that trend continues to 2024 as well. Various manufacturers have already launched new models in the current year which include Kia Sonet facelift, Hyundai Creta facelift, Tata Punch EV and more. Now, more new models are scheduled to be launched in the upcoming month of March 2024.
Hyundai Creta N Line
Hyundai has confirmed the launch date of the new Creta N Line model for the Indian market, set for March 11. This marks the third N Line model from Hyundai to debut in India, following the i20 N Line and Venue N Line. The Creta N Line will be powered by the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine introduced in the Creta facelift, capable of producing 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. Post-launch, the Hyundai Creta N Line is expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
BYD Seal
Chinese EV manufacturer BYD is set to launch its third electric car in India, the Seal EV, on March 5. The Seal EV will be brought to India via the CBU route and will join the Atto 3 and e6 in BYD’s EV portfolio in the country. The BYD Seal EV will be available in single PMS and dual-motor options, delivering 227 bhp of power and 360 Nm of peak torque. It boasts a 0-100 kmph sprint time of 5.9 seconds. The EV will feature an 82.5 kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 570 km on a single charge.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the fourth generation of its popular Swift hatchback. Although Maruti has not officially confirmed the exact timeline, the new Swift has already been unveiled in global markets and is expected to arrive in India very soon. The new Swift, recently introduced in Japan, is available in two main trims. One variant features a naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine, while the other is equipped with a 12V mild hybrid powertrain.
Tata Nexon Dark Edition
Tata Motors is expected to expand the Nexon lineup with a new variant called the Dark Edition. As the name implies, the Nexon Dark is expected to feature an all-black exterior theme, including Tata’s glossy Midnight Black paint scheme and blacked-out alloy wheels. The interior will also feature an all-black treatment. However, engine specifications are expected to remain unchanged.
